Author John Lee Focuses on Emotional Regression During Men’s Gathering

The Connecticut Men’s Gathering, or COMEGA, is hosting bestselling author John Lee as he leads a pre-gathering workshop, Growing Yourself Back Up: Understanding Emotional Regression, on April 24 and 25, 2025, at Camp Hazen in Chester, Connecticut. The workshop begins Thursday evening and continues until Friday at 3 p.m.
In this presentation, Lee will explain why we too often lose personal power, feel small or little, keep returning to our past, repeating mistakes and arguing about the same things, and why we say and do the things we often regret. Lee has taught this material to thousands of men and women around the world and trained hundreds of therapists, counselors and psychologists. Understanding and working with regression changes every relationship for the better. It reduces and even eliminates the energy-draining confrontations, conflicts, misunderstandings and miscommunications with a spouse, lover, parents or children.
Lee’s other workshops during the weekend are Hero to Elder: The Odyssey of Aging, and Breaking the Mother-Son Dynamic: Resetting a Man’s Life and Loves.
The full weekend gathering takes place April 25-27, 2025. The deadline for registration is April 11, 2025. Financial aid is available. Through group workshops and activities, COMEGA provides an open, trusting, non-competitive environment for adult men of all ages, races and backgrounds to share and learn from each other.
Founded in 1992, COMEGA is a spin-off of the Massachusetts Men’s Gathering, which in turn spun off from Mainely Men, a semi-annual men’s gathering in Maine. Their mission is to co-create an intergenerational and diverse community of men dedicated to developing healthier masculinity.
